Key Responsibilities
Job Purpose
- Support the overall implementation of project marine assurance and governance processes including regular inspections and verifications onboard project marine spreads.
- Lead the verification and validity of Project Marine Units, Crew, and Personnel documentation in compliance with International and company regulations to enable safe and efficient offshore marine operations.

Key Job Accountabilities
1. Review and steward Marine Units Certifications to ensure compliance with international marine regulations, company, and project requirements. Validate Marine Units Crew Certifications to maintain operational compliance and readiness. Contribute to overall project marine assurance and compliance reporting.
2. Maintain full traceability of marine units and crew compliance. Track and update compliance documents to reflect real-time status of marine units and crew credentials and prevent lapses in mandatory marine documentation.
3. Assist on project marine assurance and compliance reporting and KPI monitoring, in accordance with company requirements.
4. Monitor regulatory adherence and support Project Management Team (PMT) with project documentation review to ensure compliance with industry, company, and project marine requirements and specifications.
5. Attend marine units and perform regular inspections to verify compliance with international marine regulations, company Marine Operations Procedure, and project requirements.
6. Provide site support and onboard verification during marine incident investigations, mechanical breakdown management, and fit for service protocols/reporting.
7. Facilitate and support offshore situational awareness and emergency response readiness onboard marine units; support onboard safety and welfare campaigns; promote sharing and implementation of lessons learned and best practices.
8. Support HAZIDs, risk assessments, project technical reviews, and marine execution readiness (RTP) sessions. Coordinate with EPC Contractor Marine team to ensure alignment in marine assurance requirements.
9. Contribute to capturing marine operations lessons learned, support areas of improvement identification and implementation, and follow up on marine incident investigation corrective actions.
10. Act as PMT Marine Representative onboard project marine units to ensure technical objectives are met within approved procedures and manage technical marine-related interfaces between PMT, site PMT, Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS), Contractor, and Marine Crew effectively.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in sciences, marine disciplines, or engineering OR Diploma in marine or nautical disciplines, and STCW II/1, STCW III/1 Certification.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 8 years marine operations experience.
Technical and Business Skills
- Knowledge of national and international maritime and shipping regulations.
- Strong technical and operational marine knowledge.
- Experience handling offshore marine units operating in the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of critical marine operations including offshore installation, construction vessels and barges, heavy lifts, transportation, pipe and cable lay, jack-up accommodation barges, and dive support vessels.
- High level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
- Computer literacy with regular use of professional office and technical applications.
