An opportunity is available for a Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team based in London. The role involves supporting the design, development, and delivery of mechanical systems across a range of building services or industrial infrastructure projects.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to both design and delivery phases while ensuring compliance with technical standards, project requirements, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out mechanical engineering design work across assigned projects
* Develop technical drawings, calculations, and design documentation
* Support HVAC, pipework, and mechanical systems design and analysis
* Review project specifications, drawings, and client requirements
* Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams
* Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards and industry codes
* Support project delivery through all design stages from concept to completion
* Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and coordination meetings
* Conduct site visits and assist with construction-phase technical support
* Support preparation of reports, specifications, and technical submissions
* Identify engineering risks and propose practical design solutions
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* 3-6 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
* Experience in building services, infrastructure, or industrial projects preferred
* Good understanding of mechanical design principles and systems
* Familiarity with UK building regulations and relevant standards
* Proficiency in engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
