LNG Subject Matter Expert (Brownfield Execution & Construction Planning)

Location: Oman / Qatar

Contract: 1 year 

Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced LNG Subject Matter Expert to support major brownfield modification and execution activities across onshore LNG facilities in Oman and Qatar. This role focuses on construction planning, execution sequencing, and operational interface management within live plant environments.

You will act in a key advisory capacity, supporting EPC execution while ensuring safe, efficient, and well-coordinated delivery in complex operational settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise across LNG brownfield execution and modification works
  • Support demolition, revamp, and major facility modification activities
  • Develop construction sequencing and execution logic aligned with isolations and area handovers
  • Link execution sequencing to work packs, job cards, and field execution plans
  • Review and support planning of SIMOPS activities within live operating environments
  • Ensure effective application of PTW systems, isolations, and operational constraints
  • Assess constructability including access, lifting strategies, and logistics planning
  • Provide field-based input into execution planning and readiness reviews
  • Review EPC execution strategies and provide guidance from an owner's perspective
  • Challenge and validate contractor plans to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Coordinate with operations teams, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Support site-based execution planning and problem solving during implementation

Requirements

  • Strong experience in LNG brownfield projects within oil and gas facilities
  • Demonstrated background in demolition, revamp, and modification scopes
  • Strong construction planning capability, including sequencing and workpack development
  • Practical understanding of PTW systems, isolations, and SIMOPS environments
  • Hands-on site experience in construction or execution environments
  • Strong knowledge of constructability, lifting operations, and logistics constraints
  • Experience working with major oil and gas operators preferred
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, live plant environments
  • Owner's mindset with ability to influence EPC contractors and execution teams
  • Willingness and ability to mobilise to Qatar at short notice
