Lead Stimulation Engineer

Work Location: Onshore with occasional offshore trips
Scope of Work
- Approve subsurface memos according to SOR well delivery process.
- Approve RFC/MoC related to stimulation of a well.
- Approve end of well reports (close out).
- Approve invoicing related to stimulation activities.
- Responsible for stimulation schedule and sequence RFCs.
- Ensure programs are technically validated, best technology is selected, and lessons learned are incorporated.
- Maintain database on well technology treatments and costs.
- Deliver stimulation operations within the approved budget.
- Demonstrate HSE leadership and promote a safety culture with the team and service providers.
- Maintain records of chemical usage and discharge to ensure compliance with chemical discharge permits.
- Manage improvement proposals within area of responsibility.
- Manage stimulation contracts through continuous evaluation, SQMs, and KPI tracking.
- Assess and deliver proposed 3C initiatives in areas of relevance.
- Responsible for stimulation activities as RSES-D.
- Deliver SIMOPS for stimulation activities.
- Lead HSE and operational incident investigations.
- Provide input to the continuous improvement process to review operational performance and share learnings.
- Ensure compliance of well operations with local regulations.
- Deliverables as per SOR delivery process.
- Long-term resource allocation (POB, personnel, equipment) outside the 5-week plan.
- Prepare AFE/cost estimates for stimulations.
- Develop stimulation designs and validations.
- Provide support and designs for drilling projects.
- Provide technical and operational support to drilling, well service, and stimulation activities.
- Act as technical contract duet for stimulation vessels contracts.
- Provide input into IOP and stimulation/intervention planning.
- Prepare, launch, and evaluate relevant call for tenders with C&P duet.
- Engage with frontline leadership through quarterly management visits.
- Prepare stage gate documents, AFE and cost estimates, derogations, annual budget input, and LTP input.
The Stimulation Lead is accountable for planning and safe execution of all stimulation activities within scheduled activities and budget. The role is also accountable for stimulation designs and validation of stimulation activities in relation to drilling projects.
Background / Qualification / Experience
- University degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- 10 years of successful industry experience within stimulation, drilling, well services, and offshore supervision.
- Expert in English with clear and concise communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Training Requirements
- Offshore certification and medical clearance for offshore trips.
- CoC certified as DCSI/WSI and IWCF Well Control Level 4.
