Overview
A permanent, owner-side Engineering Manager role at the heart of the energy transition. You will lead engineering execution across the full project lifecycle for a portfolio spanning decarbonisation, carbon capture, hydrogen, and renewables, working within an international energy organisation and multicultural teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Define the engineering execution plan and drive it through every project phase
- Lead the engineering project team, including roles, staffing, and workload allocation
- Oversee engineering execution to maximise value for the business
- Coordinate design and HSEQ reviews
- Define and monitor project schedules and cost budgets
- Manage engineering risks, including identification, assessment, response, and stakeholder communication
- Manage project changes, interfaces, and their impact on execution
- Manage multidisciplinary outsourced engineering services
- Consolidate cost estimates and monthly workload forecasts for management
- Act as the main engineering interface with stakeholders on progress, risks, and key decisions
Requirements
- Proven capability in managing engineering execution, including planning, scheduling, progress, and cost control
- Strong grounding in risk management, change management, and project management processes
- Familiarity with all project phases: feasibility, front-end engineering design, and execution
- Understanding of the owner-engineering role within an international energy organisation
- Experience working with multicultural teams across different locations
- Confidence to lead autonomously, including decision making, setting priorities, and problem solving
- BEng in Engineering minimum; Chartered status (CEng) desirable
