DATA MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT LEAD
Working Location
Doha, Qatar office with possible missions to project premises (onshore/offshore/in the country/outside the country). Standard office hours, 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Accountabilities
- Ensure awareness of and compliance with HSE rules and regulations by subordinates and contractors.
- Manage all activities to structure and maintain the metadata contained in project documentation, supporting the Digital Project and TAG-centric vision.
- Manage, maintain, and develop the advanced viewer (iView) used by all users to access documentation.
- Create iView standalone.
- Update standards and rules related to numbering and identify impacts within applications such as iTools.
- As part of DPG taskforce, participate in all use cases related to digital twin concerning iView and documentation metadata, especially TAGs.
- Coordinate with the IS department on activities related to application and tools linked to "intelligent" PDFs (iPDF format) and quality control of documentation metadata.
- Supervise a team of resources for assigned tasks, as required.
Job Dimensions
- Responsible for iView applications and related interfaces (used by all users).
- Coordinate with all departments on standards and rules for producing document metadata.
- Manage personnel through an external contractor.
- Oversee approximately 350,000 documents.
Activities
HSE:
- Support safety culture through participation in safety initiatives.
- Contribute to improving documentation quality to reduce HSE risks.
Digital Project Interfaces:
- Manage activities to structure, recover, correct, upgrade, and maintain documentation metadata, ensuring data integrity.
- Write scope of work, define planning, run projects, organize weekly meetings, set up follow-up progress, validate invoices, import deliverables into MANASA/iView, and manage contract-related tasks.
- Manage import/update files as per MANASA requirements for documents and metadata.
- Ensure technical documents are uploaded in iPDF standard format.
- Develop strategies and tools for document and metadata quality assurance.
- Support digital project use cases to ensure compatibility with TAG-centric vision, standards, and interfaces (iView, iTools).
- Create interfaces between technical documents and multiple applications (SAP, 3D Model, etc.).
- Support 3D model development for compliant deliverables and build interfaces between document management system and digital project use cases.
- Engage in data governance initiatives and interface with Engineering & Construction (E&C) and related teams for document management and tools development.
- Participate in activities related to TAGs and numbering rules.
- Coordinate requirements and workflow for final documentation, ensuring structured metadata quality and synchronization within iView.
- Support initiatives to improve documentation metadata quality and optimize access for productivity and safety.
- Lead data standardization and quality checks.
- Support digital transformation initiatives across all departments.
iView Manager:
- Manage, maintain, and develop the advanced viewer for accessing project documentation.
- Provide support to users (onshore and offshore).
- Develop interfaces between iView and other applications.
- Lead synchronization between MANASA Operation and iView (with IS).
- Create standalone viewers for departments/contractors/external companies as required.
- Coordinate iView contracts, licenses, development, cost, and disaster recovery.
iTools Solution:
- Develop tools/plugins that embed company rules for contractors' deliverables.
- Develop tools/plugins for deliverables in iPDF format with iView functionalities.
- Coordinate developments to identify impacts on existing tools and use cases.
Tags and Document Numbering Rules & Standards:
- Write and maintain standards and rules, coordinating with all relevant departments.
- Analyze and validate the incorporation of new rules and assess impacts.
- Coordinate to ensure rule compliance and resolve issues in applications not fully complying with numbering rules (SAP, 3D Model, etc.).
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Confirmed Lead Document Controller with 15 years of professional experience in industrial projects management organizations and excellent knowledge of document & data control.
- Deep experience in operator company transitions, legacy documentation upgrade and management, technical documentation, and digitalization.
- Coordinated approach to resolving problems promptly.
- Strong understanding of project controls in large-scale EPCIC or brownfield projects.
- Proven ability in structured data development and process optimization.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with digital transformation and process automation.
- Broad skill set in various engineering disciplines is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team environment and under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English.
Contract Type
- 1 year contract with possibility of extension.
