CSA Supervisor
Client: Multi-national corporation which provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services internationally
Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract
Location: Northern Sweden
Work Pattern: 3 weeks on office/site, 1 week remote, on rotation. Working 5 days per week, 8 hour days.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor, mainly in civil construction, steel structure erection and architectural activities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the civil construction of the project in collaboration with the client, who will lead coordination with civil contractors.
The ideal candidate is a civil engineer with experience in civil construction for major projects. You will report to the CSA Superintendent Leader and collaborate with the client and cross-functional teams to address construction and contractual issues (performance, infringement, rights and obligations, risk and mitigations). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering and construction, the ability to manage people and teams, and the capacity to work under pressure with multicultural teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the client construction team in any tasks required for civil construction, coordinating those actions under the responsibility of the PMC team (quality control, progress monitoring, financial control, risk and opportunity control, and reporting).
- Work in coordination with the CSA Supervisors to ensure the contractors carry out civil construction tasks of the project in a timely manner and consistent with the terms of the work contracts and project requirements and schedules.
- Work in coordination with the PMC construction team, reporting to the CSA Superintendent Leader.
- Ensure compliance with client policies, generic strategies, and procedures for the execution of the project supplies.
- Promote, establish, and maintain technical and administrative relationships with the client and its contractors to understand and resolve situations arising from the execution of the project supplies.
- Support during the civil construction for technical control, production, deadlines, costs, and health and safety of the project, executed in accordance with the engineering design (earthworks, piling, civil works, steel structure, architectural activities, etc.).
- Ensure that CSA activities of the different contractors are carried out in accordance with the procedures of the contract and the provisions of the management plans, main inspections, and design documents in general.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements associated with the development of the work.
- Perform quality control and compliance, verifying that construction activities comply with project technical specifications and regulations.
- Manage technical documentation, ensuring that management plans, certificates, manuals and other technical documents are available during construction for all contractors.
- Maintain constant communication with contractors to resolve delays, quality issues or changes in requirements.
- Report to the project team about the status of supplies and possible risks of delay, and propose corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Support planning by collaborating with the scheduling team to measure progress and plan upcoming construction activities.
- Identify potential risks to the project early and develop appropriate treatment plans, promptly reporting to the Contract Manager, Project Management and the relevant steering committee.
- Issue and sign formal communications inherent to the construction execution of the project.
- Perform other duties inherent to the position and/or designated by the CSA Superintendent Leader and/or the client.
Requirements and Skills
- Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in civil construction in the oil and gas, engineering and construction, steel, mining and/or infrastructure sectors.
- Ability to collaborate with other civil supervisors, defining needs in advance to manage project requirements.
- Experience managing civil contracts and/or having participated in teams that provided PMC or EPCM services.
- Quality assurance and quality control experience.
- Experience as Civil Construction Manager in major projects.
- Risk and mitigation planning experience.
- Strong commercial understanding.
- Experience working on technically complex projects.
- Willingness to commute to the north of Sweden 3 weeks per month.
- Experience with MS Office, Primavera and Aconex or similar tools.
- Fluent in English.
