Description:
Are you an enthusiastic cost control professional with a passion for driving excellence in large-scale industrial developments? We are seeking a dynamic and positive Project Cost Engineer. As part of the team, you will play an important role in ensuring robust cost control and compliance with financial regulations for one major area of a landmark industrial project in Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Cost Manager across all aspects of Cost Management, from estimating through to close-out, providing support to EPCM contractors and assisting in the resolution of issues.
- Coordinate monthly meetings with EPCM contractors to review cost reports, cashflows, change management and more, and establish processes to accurately forecast costs from construction contractors and supply vendors.
- Coordinate interfaces with stakeholders, including finance and accounting, to prepare written cost analyses and reports, delivering timely and accurate forecasts of project cost status.
- Coordinate with the project team on cost review meetings and interface with the cost team and finance to prepare monthly internal reports.
- Prepare and assist the Project Services Manager in the development and delivery of written and oral presentations to stakeholders.
- Stay informed about ongoing project activities to identify adverse trends, potential problem areas, and opportunities, and participate in their proactive management.

Requirements:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in cost control on major industrial projects, ideally within an EPCM contracting environment, with a strong grasp of project delivery phases and associated activities.
- Proficiency in cost engineering and estimating, with knowledge of planning practices aligned with AACE and PMI standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of cross-functional collaboration, including interfaces with engineering, procurement, construction, safety, quality, finance/accounting, planning, and document control.
- Familiarity with cost control software and the ability to analyze cost-saving and value engineering scenarios, implementing effective reporting in line with established guidelines.
- Strong understanding of estimating techniques, including overseeing major project estimate development and reviews.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster smooth teamwork.
- Proactive approach to anticipating challenges and collaborating effectively with various stakeholders, EPCMs, and third-party suppliers to address potential issues promptly.
