Commissioning Process/Piping Lead
Location: Oman and QatarContract Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Commissioning Site Head in supervising contractor activities linked to the commissioning of a new riser platform, jacket, and bridge link to existing platforms, in both preparation and execution phases.
- Review commissioning preparation by the contractor, including database population, procedures, RFC and OTP preparation.
- Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning preparation and execution at worksites and offshore sites to deliver installations ready for operation on schedule.
- Manage activities from Ready for Commissioning (RFC) status to completion of commissioning activities for the discipline.
- Supervise leak tests and process OTPs during commissioning activities.
- Assess satisfactory work responsibilities and job functions in a safe and timely manner.
- Adhere to and communicate project HSE instructions and policies, proactively intervening and reporting HSE deficiencies.
- Review and, if necessary, write pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures and reporting tools to meet planning and milestones.
- Promote safety within commissioning activities and verify implementation of safety procedures.
- Coordinate with other project entities, disciplines, and existing facilities.
- Ensure comprehensive lists of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, including operational test procedures.
- Ensure availability of spare parts, consumables, equipment, and special tools for process-piping commissioning.
- Follow contractor's process-piping commissioning activities using OPERCOM Methodology and ICAPS software.
- Supervise reporting of commissioning execution to ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Control and follow up on red line mark-up drawings and leak test N2/He.
- Oversee vendor commissioning activities, including SAT, OTPs, document updates, punch list closure, and reporting.
- Supervise dewatering, swabbing, drying, and inerting of gas pipelines.
- Supervise final caliper run for all pipelines.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in engineering
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings
- At least 15-20 years' experience in the offshore oil & gas industry, with a minimum of 10 years in a similar commissioning leader role
- Proven track record of leadership and problem resolution
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Available for technical missions worldwide
- Experience with general specifications, OPERCOM and ICAPS, relevant codes and standards
- Fluent in English
- Computer literate
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment
