Position Overview
The Senior Treasury Officer plays a key role in overseeing and managing the company's treasury operations, ensuring efficient cash flow, liquidity, and risk management. The role involves leading trade finance functions, supervising treasury transactions, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, banking knowledge, and ERP proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash inflows/outflows, receipts, disbursements, and bank reconciliations.
- Supervise trade finance activities, ensuring adherence to UCP 600, banking standards, and internal policies.
- Oversee the processing and review of letters of credit, bills of exchange, and other trade-related instruments.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior treasury and trade finance staff.
- Maintain and build relationships with banks, financial institutions, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure proper treasury documentation, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and scenario analysis.
- Implement and continuously improve treasury policies, internal controls, and reporting processes.
- Support financial audits, internal reviews, and operational compliance checks.
- Monitor treasury KPIs and report to management with recommendations for process optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of total experience, with 3 years in treasury and 2 years in GCC preferred.
- Strong background in cash management, liquidity planning, and financial risk mitigation.
- Proficient in financial modeling, Excel, and treasury systems.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, especially SAP (Treasury/Finance modules).
- Strong understanding of trade finance instruments, regulatory frameworks, and banking processes.
