Senior Pipeline Designer
Location: Qatar
Contract Type: 6-month contract (extendable based on project requirements and performance)
Work Pattern: Onsite, 5 days per week (9 hours per day)
Overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Pipeline Designer to support major oil and gas engineering projects in Qatar. The role involves delivering high-quality pipeline design outputs across FEED and detailed design phases within both onshore and offshore project environments.
You will be responsible for producing and coordinating pipeline design deliverables in line with project specifications, international standards, and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop pipeline design deliverables across FEED and detailed engineering phases
- Produce pipeline layouts, routing studies, and associated engineering drawings
- Coordinate design activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards
- Incorporate engineering review comments into final design outputs
- Support both onshore and offshore pipeline design scopes
- Liaise with engineers and project teams to resolve design and technical issues
- Ensure timely delivery of design documentation in line with project schedules
- Support consistency and quality across all pipeline design deliverables
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Pipeline Designer in oil and gas projects
- Strong background in FEED and detailed design engineering projects
- Experience working on both onshore and offshore pipeline projects
- Proficiency in relevant design tools and drafting systems used in pipeline engineering
- Strong understanding of international pipeline design standards and practices
- Ability to work independently and deliver within tight project deadlines
- Strong coordination and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in EPC or consultancy environments is highly desirable
