Job Title: Senior Logistics Officer

Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Logistics Officer to oversee the coordination and execution of all logistics operations. This role plays a key part in optimising supply chain performance, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipment deliveries, and maintaining high service levels across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end logistics operations (inbound/outbound) and assets to ensure efficient material flow
- Negotiate pricing and service terms with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies
- Coordinate and manage all shipment arrangements and ensure clearance for inbound and outbound goods
- Monitor the movement and condition of goods throughout the supply chain
- Generate and present logistics reports and dashboards, updating stakeholders on shipment statuses
- Develop logistics plans, support frameworks, and operational procedures to enhance efficiency
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external trade regulations
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to meet operational and service requirements
- Conduct risk assessments related to material movement and logistics operations
- Identify and implement continuous improvement and staff training initiatives in logistics functions
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' work experience, including 3 years in logistics or supply chain functions
- Experience working within the GCC region is a strong advantage (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
- Familiar with international logistics, trade compliance, import/export documentation and procedures
- Excellent organisational, negotiation, and communication skills, including cross-cultural communication
