QA/QC Manager

Job Summary
The QA/QC Manager ensures that all project activities comply with client specifications, contract requirements, company standards, and relevant UAE regulations. This role leads quality inspections, audits, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Assurance and Quality Control system for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, applicable codes, and standards.
- Manage all QA/QC activities during construction and project execution.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and quality assessments.
- Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams regarding quality issues.
- Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Lead QA/QC engineers and inspectors to achieve project quality objectives.
- Prepare quality reports and present quality performance updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
- Support project handover activities and ensure all quality records are maintained and submitted.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience, with at least 5 years in a QA/QC Manager role.
- Extensive experience in the Gulf Region (UAE/GCC) construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and quality management systems.
- Experience with major building, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC projects.
- Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) is preferred.
- Familiarity with UAE and international construction codes and standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
- Membership in relevant professional engineering organizations.
- Previous experience working with major contractors in the UAE or GCC.
