- Integrate real-time and historical operational and engineering data using industrial protocols, APIs, databases, and OEM-specific interfaces.
- Monitor SCADA services and data pipelines for performance degradation, missing or invalid data, and operational failures. Support restoration, data-quality validation, and controlled recovery or backfilling of historical data.
- Provide engineering-level support for incidents and service requests, including structured troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective or preventive actions.
- Implement applicable OT engineering and cybersecurity controls, including hardening, access control, network segmentation, and controlled changes.
- Work with OEMs, suppliers, projects, Operations, control-centre teams, data and analytics teams, cybersecurity, IT, and adjacent OT engineering teams.
- Maintain technical requirements, solution designs, interface specifications, configuration records, implementation guides, runbooks, support procedures, and audit evidence.
- Contribute to backlog refinement, estimates, work-package definition, dependency management, risk visibility, and delivery reporting.
Typical Deliverables
- Validated and documented production deployments accepted by the responsible service team.
- Site-readiness assessments and integration recommendations.
- Technical requirements and interface specifications prepared for review and approval.
- SCADA, edge-device, connector, and data-pipeline configurations, supported by reusable implementation guidance and site-specific as-built records.
- Monitoring and alerting arrangements, data-quality checks, and documented operational support procedures.
- Test plans, test evidence, defect resolution records, and acceptance input.
- Incident investigations, documented root causes, and recommended or implemented corrective and preventive actions.
- Lifecycle assessments, upgrade or migration plans, and controlled execution of approved changes.
Authority and Accountability
- Take technical ownership of assigned SCADA, edge-integration, and OT data-flow activities from analysis and design through deployment, handover, and operational support.
- Recommend technical solutions and lifecycle improvements based on operational risk, data quality, cybersecurity, resilience, and supportability.
- Coordinate incident recovery and technical delivery across the responsible infrastructure, application, supplier, and project teams.
- Escalate material operational, cybersecurity, quality, dependency, or delivery risks through the agreed governance routes.
Technical Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant hands-on OT or SCADA engineering or operational experience; 5 years or more is preferred.
