Job Title: Operator
Working Location: Hattingen, Germany
Contract Type: Residential Contract Role
Contract Duration: 6 months (Possibility of Extension)
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
The scope of the role includes sorting various gas cylinders, assisting with filling, and operating a forklift.
1. Customer Service and Logistics
- Act as the main contact person for customers on site.
- Responsible for sorting and provision of cylinders.
- Process delivery point transactions for the sale of refrigerants to collectors.
- Handle goods issue for pick-up customers.
- Accept telephone orders and, if necessary, enter them into SAP.
2. Warehouse Management
- Oversee inventory management for the site, including inventories and bottle sorting.
- Manage goods receipt and booking into the AP inventory, including propane.
- Test exchange bottles for suitability before accepting them.
- Store products safely and efficiently.
- Store products using conveyors, considering type of goods, quality, volume, weight, and transport requirements within the redistribution center.
- Document storage operations using the warehouse management system.
- Take proactive measures to maintain and improve quality, such as visual inspections and checking products for best-before dates and cylinder bottles for safety certification dates.
3. Security
- Carry out required CLT activities.
- Perform regular maintenance of work equipment.
- Implement all relevant legal and internal safety regulations pertaining to load securing, occupational health, and environmental protection laws as instructed by the Lead Redistribution Centre.
Requirements:
- Experience in customer service and logistics
- Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management practices
- Familiarity with gas cylinder handling and forklift operation
- Ability to use warehouse management software
- Adherence to safety regulations and quality standards
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to work
