LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER - NAPHTHA REFORMING (PERMANENT EXPAT OPPORTUNITY - MIDDLE EAST)
A global energy operator is seeking a Lead Process Engineer with specialist expertise in naphtha reforming to join its downstream team. This is a permanent expatriate position offering long-term career potential and a tax-free lifestyle.
Interviews will be held in June and July via Microsoft Teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the design, review, and optimisation of naphtha reforming process units

Improve catalyst usage and reforming efficiency to maximise performance and product quality

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operating teams

Engage with licensors and technology providers to evaluate and implement solutions

Conduct process simulations to identify efficiency opportunities

Prepare technical documentation and present findings to internal stakeholders

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability development
REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Chemical Engineering (advanced qualifications desirable)

Minimum 20 years of experience in refining or petrochemical operations, with strong reforming focus

At least 5 years of direct experience with Continuous Catalytic Reforming (CCR)

Familiar with major licensor technologies and a variety of operating environments

Demonstrated innovation record including patents or technical publications

Proficient in simulation tools such as HYSYS

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
