Purpose of the Role:

The Lead Process Engineer acts as the technical focal point for all engineering design and drafting activities within the assigned discipline area. The role involves leadership, coordination, and integration of engineering tasks to ensure project delivery in line with contractual, quality, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the timely and quality-driven delivery of engineering documentation and process designs.
  • Review technical content to ensure alignment with the contract scope, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Direct and organize the process discipline team to deliver effective engineering solutions across onshore, offshore, and processing facilities.
  • Develop and manage discipline-specific scopes, budgets, schedules, risk assessments, and manpower forecasts.
  • Monitor work progress and productivity, recommending corrective actions to maintain alignment with project budgets and milestones.
  • Coordinate and review equipment specifications, procurement support documents, and vendor recommendations.
  • Lead design studies addressing special technical challenges and provide recommendations to project management.
  • Support cost estimation processes with technical inputs during project tendering or variations.
  • Conduct and participate in Engineering Assurance Audits as per project schedules.
  • Set priorities, direct work execution, and monitor personnel performance for continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Support cross-functional coordination with procurement, construction, HSE, quality, and project controls teams.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and safety throughout all engineering disciplines.

     

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Process or relevant discipline) from a recognized institution.

Experience & Background

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, including 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Hands-on experience with Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design phases.
  • Regional (GCC) project experience is considered a plus.
