Position Title: EPC Lead Pipeline Engineer

Purpose of the Role
The Lead Pipeline Engineer acts as the central technical authority for pipeline engineering design and drafting activities across assigned project scopes. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective project execution from Pre-FEED to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality and accuracy of all pipeline engineering deliverables and documentation.
- Ensure alignment of engineering work with contractual obligations, industry codes, and internal project standards.
- Lead the pipeline discipline team and coordinate execution strategies across onshore, offshore, process, and drilling platform elements.
- Define discipline scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and procedures.
- Forecast and monitor discipline engineering manpower and budget utilization.
- Lead variance reporting, track productivity metrics, and initiate corrective measures when necessary.
- Support procurement activities through technical specification development and vendor evaluations.
- Oversee design studies related to complex pipeline routing, stress analysis, constructability, and system integration.
- Coordinate with other discipline leads and project functions (construction, HSE, QA/QC, procurement, etc.) to manage technical interfaces.
- Participate in internal audits and ensure technical documents are prepared in line with procurement and construction needs.
- Supervise and evaluate engineering team performance, ensuring compliance with project timelines and quality expectations.
- Promote a strong HSE and quality culture across all pipeline activities.
- Support continuous improvement by reinforcing project principles, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Pipeline, Mechanical, or relevant discipline) from a recognized institution.
Experience & Background
- Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience, with 5 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design phases is essential
- Prior exposure to projects in the GCC region is considered a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of international pipeline codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, DNV)
- Proficiency in pipeline-specific software: CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, GIS route design tools, SmartPlant
- Experience in pipeline systems for crude oil, gas, multi-phase, water injection, and cross-country transmission
- ERP system experience is preferred, especially with SAP functional modules
