Energy Risk Engineer - Remote - Permanent - UK

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Energy Risk Engineer to join a growing team supporting clients across the energy sector. This role is remote with travel as needed and offers the chance to provide technical risk engineering services that influence underwriting decisions and enhance client operations.

Applicants should have at least 8 years' post-degree experience within Risk Management, Health and Safety, Reliability, Maintenance or Engineering in industrial settings. Strong communication and technical report writing skills are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical risk engineering support to manage exposures within portfolios

  • Conducting field surveys and developing risk improvement recommendations

  • Advising clients on new and existing projects

  • Supporting the risk selection process and delivering tailored service programmes

  • Producing technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

  • Developing and monitoring service plans and budgets with underwriters, brokers, and clients

  • Preparing various reports including desk reviews, survey reports, account overviews, and stewardship reports

  • Maintaining compliance with ethical, service, and regulatory standards

  • Attending meetings with underwriters, brokers, and key clients

  • Staying informed on industry trends and emerging risk management practices

Candidates must have a proactive approach, strong technical expertise, and the flexibility to travel within the UK and internationally when needed.
