Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and support electrical engineering activities during EPC and start-up phase until handover to permanent asset, ensuring project deliverables meet operations expectations-focusing on safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability over the facility design life cycle.
- Provide a variety of electrical engineering support to achieve division strategy and goals, including design reviews, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement surveillance and administration programs for critical electrical systems of new projects, aiming for high standards of reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Define and document best practices within your area of expertise, recommending and initiating improvement projects.
- Develop work plans and schedules that ensure effective completion of tasks and meet the section and division KPIs.
- Provide technical input to related disciplines and functions as required to support overall business objectives.
- Control and supervise the electrical engineering activities conducted by contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide and mentor less experienced engineers in implementing integrity and reliability systems.
- Support project tie-in requirements, ensuring smooth transitions for all systems under your responsibility.
- Maintain an Issue Register to track and resolve critical issues, including new technology risks affecting project reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Support high-risk commissioning activities for complex and large-scale projects through rigorous system surveillance, tuning/optimising electrical systems, and providing advisory support to operations and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Demonstrable expertise in electrical engineering as outlined in technical competencies.
- Able to work and make decisions under highly stressful conditions.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor teams.
- Proficiency in professional office and technical software.
- Demonstrate strong behavioural competencies, including safety, teamwork, ethics and integrity, planning and organisation, initiative, service orientation, and problem-solving.
