Cost Control Lead - Permanent Expat Opportunity - Paris/Pau
A global energy operator is seeking an experienced Cost Control Lead to join its team for a key project. This role offers the opportunity to work in a residential capacity in Paris or Pau, France, with an annual renewable contract.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the Budget & Cost Control activities for a package of the B58 Suriname Project throughout its lifecycle

Advise the Project Control Manager/Lead, as needed, and support the project in all matters regarding Cost Control structure, procedures, reporting, and practices using tools like SAP, U-COST, or similar

Prepare, analyze, process, and present all information related to project costs and expenditures, liaising closely with the Project Control Manager/Lead

Be well-versed in cost estimation processes, actuals, accruals, provisions, and forecasting within a multi-year, multi-currency project environment

Compare the initial budget with the current forecast, justifying gaps with the support of technical teams

Highlight and escalate any budgeting and cost issues, proposing mitigation actions when necessary
Qualifications & Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Cost Control Management

Minimum of 5 years of project-specific experience

Extensive experience with cost estimation, accruals, and forecasting

Proficiency with cost control tools like SAP, U-COST, or equivalent

Ability to manage and present cost data effectively in a multi-currency project setting
