(ROTATIONAL - 4x4 WEEKS)

JOB DIMENSIONS
This position exists up to the completion of the development phase including Project closeout.
The position will be based at Afungi Site as a rotator, with missions to Project locations
as necessary. However, during the early stages of this service, the position will be resident
in Milan until the construction activities achieve sufficient progress to allow systems and
subsystems identification.
The position holder shall be responsible for Planning and scheduling activities related to
overall project commissioning scope in according to Project Requirements, processes and
tools. The job holder will perform this work in accordance with Corporate, TEP Mozambique
and Project rules, guidelines and procedures.
ACTIVITIES
Overall responsibility for Commissioning Planning Engineer include:
 Prepare Schedules for Commissioning scope in coordination with package planners,
with forecast updates and variance analysis against approved baseline schedule and
key dates; review data to ensure schedule requirements are implemented and
correctly monitored, and ensure risk items are identified and accurately represented
in the project schedule risk analysis
 Establish a suitable Project Schedule coding structure based on systems and
subsystems - complying with Governing Agreements (PSA/JOA), Total E&P
Mozambique, the Group's and Project Management reporting requirements and rules
for all phases of the Project
 Review Contractor and Subcontractors Pre-commissioning and Commissioning
schedule
 Review Yard Pre-commissioning and Commissioning schedules and integration in
the project overall
 Review/challenge duration, quantities, link and critical path of Contractor
 Built an estimated schedule to challenge Contractor
 Work with Start-up/FOPS to integrate their activities and link them with
Commissioning in the overall project schedule
 Work with Upstream to integrate the interfaces and link them with Pre-com and
Comm in the overall project schedule.
 Prepare and update progress reports; ensure variances and forecasted progress are
properly explained and communicated to the project team; track use of schedule
reserve and contingency and approved changes to Project schedule related to
Commissioning.



 Analyse, track, and report project (or contract specific) planning, progress KPIs and
communicate their status to the project team;
 Participate in project meetings when required;
 Participate in project digitalization to promote efficiencies, synergies, and
simplification;
 Provide the necessary checks, approval functions for invoices submitted, in
accordance with Contracts, Project & Company procedures;
 Accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour regarding HSSE rules &
requirements, with regards to the Company Ethics and "Code of Conduct" policy and
for implementing and controlling these rules and requirements within the said area of
responsibility.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
In September 2019, a few months after project FID, Total acquired Anadarko's operating
share (26.5%) of MozLNG Area 1 alongside several Partners from Japan, India and
Thailand, and the Mozambiquan National Oil company, ENH; The development phase of this
multi-billion dollars project is being carried out by a dedicated project organization reporting
to TEPMA1 and is based in Paris, Maputo, Afungi and Milan.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
The position activities will be performed in close collaboration and coordination with the
Project Management. The job holder will play an essential role in ensuring the project
commissioning schedule is well monitored, forecasted and managed and that it is well
integrated into the overall project schedule. The Project and package management shall be
kept fully aware of commissioning, planning, progress, variance, and interface status and
concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum Education:
 Engineer/Bachelor degree in Business Management or similar
Minimum Experience:
 10+ years of experience in major oil and gas project controls with focus in
Commissioning and Start up of large Oil and Gas Plants
Required Skills /Certifications:
 Major Oil and Gas project developments knowledge and experience, with Partner
and Government reporting interfaces
 Organizational ability and commitment to meeting deadlines; Requires team spirit
with ability to work closely with various stakeholders.
 Strong communication and presentation skills; Knowledgeable and experienced with
schedule and planning principles and methods.
 Planning and Scheduling tools : Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, Microsoft Project,
Milestones Pro, Thinkcell, Excel; Knowledge of Total rules/procedures



Language Requirements:
 Fluent English required; Portuguese and French language skills will assist
performance
