We are supporting a leading terminal operator in their search for an experienced Terminal Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at a key tank terminal facility in Curacao. This role offers a rare opportunity for a hands-on operational leader to take full ownership of technical and maintenance activities while contributing to the safe and efficient operation of a critical energy infrastructure asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily technical operations, including storage, transfer, loading/unloading, and maintenance across the terminal.
  • Ensure operational readiness and mechanical integrity of storage tanks, piping systems, instrumentation, electrical equipment, and safety systems.
  • Lead on-the-ground troubleshooting, inspections, and resolution of technical and operational issues.
  • Oversee tank cleaning, pipeline integrity testing, and API / statutory inspections.
  • Coordinate vessel discharges and interface closely with HSE, marine, and logistics teams to maintain safe, compliant operations.
  • Review technical documents, drawings, and work packs for accuracy and operational feasibility.
  • Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all terminal assets.
  • Lead third-party contractors and vendors on site during repair, maintenance, and project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, international codes, and company HSE policies.
  • Report to the General Manager while coordinating cross-functionally with Finance, Projects, and Compliance teams.

Candidate Profile:

  • 15+ years of operational experience within terminal, tank storage, or oil & gas technical operations.
  • Strong background in mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, and marine systems.
  • Proven leadership in field-based roles with a preference for hands-on operational involvement.
  • Knowledge of HAZOP, risk assessment, safety case preparation, and emergency response protocols.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary terminal teams.
  • Confident operating in dynamic, high-pressure environments with simultaneous operations.
