Overview

An established commercial construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead large-scale ground-up construction projects throughout the Raleigh area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven field leader with a strong track record of delivering complex commercial projects from site mobilization through final completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving project safety, quality, schedule performance, and client satisfaction while mentoring field teams and supporting continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations on ground-up commercial construction projects from mobilization through project closeout.

• Develop and execute construction schedules in collaboration with project management teams.

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and site personnel.

• Drive project safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

• Oversee quality control activities and ensure work is completed to project specifications.

• Manage site logistics, sequencing, coordination, and workforce planning.

• Identify and resolve field issues to maintain project schedules and budgets.

• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and trade partners.

• Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents and field staff.

• Lead punch-list activities, commissioning support, and project turnover processes.

• Ensure accurate site documentation, reporting, and communication throughout project execution.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects.

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent on commercial construction projects.

• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, site logistics, quality control, and project sequencing.

• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and large project teams.

• Experience leading projects from site preparation and foundations through final completion.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery excellence.
