SMARTplant ART - DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)
Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week onsite)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time (8 hours per day)
About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has opened for a DevOps Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation at the heart of green energy innovation. You will become a key member of the Systems Team, contributing to strategic cloud infrastructure migrations, driving observability implementations, and playing a central role in defining cross-team processes and operations.
This role offers the chance to work across a broad technology stack involving Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), AWS, Azure, GitHub Actions, and Terraform — in a highly collaborative international environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support AKS to EKS cloud migration projects.

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters on AWS (Azure exposure advantageous).

Build and optimise CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, and help transform Azure DevOps pipelines to GitHub Actions workflows.

Enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to promote automation, self-service provisioning, and operational efficiency.

Provide subject matter expertise on Kubernetes and IaC, guiding feature teams with best practice consultancy.

Support CI/CD pipelines and release management to streamline delivery processes.

Collaborate with architects, security specialists, and platform engineers to ensure infrastructure aligns with security, compliance, and operational standards.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
-
Strong experience with Kubernetes, specifically EKS and AKS.

Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration.

Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS, including Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform.

Practical experience building and managing GitHub Actions workflows.

Working knowledge of Kubernetes observability solutions (e.g. Grafana Labs or similar).

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Desirable:

Previous experience with AKS to EKS migration projects.

Familiarity with the Purdue Model for OT environments.

Experience with JFrog Artifactory and Helm charts.

Exposure to Agile and SAFe methodologies in international teams.
