  • Manage equipment packages, including reviewing and approving vendor documents and ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
  • Create and develop detailed designs for piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Ensure all documentation (material requisitions, calculations, drawings) is prepared correctly and follows discipline guidelines.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, data sheets, hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, and instrument indexes.
  • Ensure that all piping designs and installations comply with relevant local and international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Act as the main interface between the Owner/Client, EPC contractor, vendors, and third parties.
  • Review and approve EPC contractor safety procedures, method statements, and testing protocols.
  • Identify commissioning risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Enforce safe work practices during energization, first oil/gas, or equipment start-up.
  • Coordinate vendor site support, start-up specialists, and OEM representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience with EPC phases: FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
  • At least 8 years' experience in the oil and gas industries.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a related designation or specialty.
  • Experience working on EPC and PMC phases of major capital projects.
  • Proficiency in ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, and other international mechanical design codes.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating machinery design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with API standards (e.g., API 610 for pumps, API 617 for compressors).
  • Ability to review P&IDs, datasheets, vendor drawings, and technical reports.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills for junior engineers.
  • Combination of solid discipline experience with PMC/PMT/Client-side exposure and familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is regarded as a priority.
