Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid – 2–3 days on-site)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We’re currently looking to speak with experienced electrical engineers for an exciting Senior Electrical Engineer role based in Manchester. This is a hybrid position offering the chance to work on high-impact decarbonisation projects in the hydrogen and carbon capture space.
You’ll be joining a well-established engineering consultancy that delivers projects across various industries including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Water — with a growing focus on energy transition technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead and contribute to electrical engineering design for multi-sector projects, including carbon capture and hydrogen developments.

Ensure compliance with UK standards and regulations in all electrical designs and installations.

Apply deep knowledge of installing equipment in hazardous areas, with expertise in ATEX compliance and relevant directives (e.g. PED, LVD, EMC, Machinery Directive).

Provide technical input to CE marking processes.

Work collaboratively across teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver safe, practical, and forward-thinking engineering solutions.

Stay up to date on HSE requirements and incorporate best practices into all aspects of engineering work.
What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Strong experience working in the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, or Water sectors.

Prior background with EPC and large-scale engineering consultancies.

In-depth understanding of UK electrical legislation and design standards.

Strong commitment to safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
