Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer specializing in API 6A Wellhead and Christmas Tree Equipment to lead the design and development of surface pressure control systems for oil and gas applications. You will ensure compliance with international standards, manage engineering projects, and provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop wellhead and Christmas Tree equipment in accordance with API 6A standards.

Lead design reviews, manage project timelines, and oversee product development from concept through to completion.

Provide expert technical support for API 6A products, addressing customer-specific requirements and resolving complex challenges.

Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a high-performance engineering team.

Use AutoCAD, SAP, and other design tools for drafting, modeling, and project documentation.

Lead conceptual designs for proposals and new projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and API standards.

Support product validation and PR2F qualification processes to meet performance benchmarks.

Manage design releases, engineering change orders, NCRs, and corrective/preventive action workflows.

Participate in API audits, presenting documentation in compliance with API Spec Q1.

Work with client-specific standards from Aramco, Qatargas, Qatar Energy, Shell, and Total, ensuring precise fulfillment of all requirements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Over 12 years of design engineering experience, with at least 7 years in a senior engineering capacity.

Deep knowledge of API 6A, wellhead, and Christmas Tree design principles.

Proven experience leading design engineering projects under tight timelines.

Prior experience working in the GCC region is preferred.
