Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Offshore Structural Engineer to join an engineering team based in Hampshire on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role offers exposure to a wide range of offshore energy projects, covering early-phase engineering through to execution and decommissioning support, with flexible hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities

Support offshore structural engineering activities across feasibility, FEED, troubleshooting, and decommissioning phases

Design metallic offshore structures, including fixed platforms and floating topsides, and develop finite element analysis (FEA) models

Design offshore foundation elements, including piles and mud mats

Assess and re-design existing offshore structures, including life-extension studies and inspection planning

Prepare technical documentation such as engineering reports, specifications, and scopes of work

Provide technical input to drawings and attend multidisciplinary coordination meetings

Work closely with internal engineering teams and other disciplines throughout project delivery

Liaise with clients, shipyards, contractors, and certification bodies as required

Ensure all work complies with applicable offshore design standards and company HSEQ requirements
Qualifications and Experience

Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, or Offshore Engineering (or equivalent)

Experience delivering offshore structural engineering scopes within oil & gas or offshore energy projects

Familiarity with structural analysis and finite element modelling

Experience using DNVGL SESAM or ANSYS is advantageous
