Overview
We are seeking an experienced Naval Engineer to join an engineering team based in Hampshire on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This role offers strong technical exposure across offshore and energy transition projects, with opportunities to contribute across multiple project phases and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support concept selection and design of floating structures across project phases including Basic Design, FEED, Detailed Design, and Execution

Prepare engineering documentation for EPCI tender packages, including functional specifications, design briefs, and scopes of work

Review contractor tender submissions, participate in clarification meetings, and support technical bid evaluations

Perform hull structural, hydrodynamic, mooring, and stability analyses, including RAOs and QTFs
-
Contribute to seakeeping and CFD-related assessments as required

Work closely with internal engineering disciplines to ensure integrated naval design solutions

Act as technical focal point for naval engineering aspects, interfacing with contractors and ensuring compliance with applicable standards

Attend technical meetings and maintain awareness of HSEQ requirements throughout project delivery
Qualifications and Experience

Degree-qualified in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline

Background in offshore oil and gas or offshore energy projects

Working knowledge of seakeeping analysis and CFD tools

Good understanding of classification society and regulatory frameworks such as IMO, SOLAS, and MARPOL

Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
