Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Metering and Analyser Engineering Specialist to provide expert technical support for production accounting and environmental measurement systems. The role involves ensuring compliance, reliability, and accuracy across metering and analyser systems, as well as supporting design, commissioning, and performance verification for new and existing facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Review measurement project specifications and attend factory and site acceptance testing during project design and execution phases.

Provide technical advice on the design, installation, and operation of measurement and analyser systems.

Participate in external meter calibration witnessing and verification activities.

Ensure measurement systems and equipment meet internal and international standards and project specifications.

Review project measurement uncertainties and ensure alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Lead investigations into design or operational issues, recommend corrective actions, and support their implementation.

Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and vendor teams to support project delivery and system reliability.

Assist in updating or developing commissioning and operational procedures for measurement systems.

Oversee vendor and contractor activities related to measurement and analyser systems.

Review and recommend spare parts and tool requirements for effective maintenance and operation.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.

Minimum of six years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, with significant exposure to metering and analyser systems.

Strong working knowledge of various flow measurement technologies (orifice, ultrasonic, coriolis, turbine) and analyser systems.

Familiarity with relevant international standards such as ISO, MPMS, and AGA.

Experience with engineering change control, quality systems, and supply chain processes.

Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in standard engineering software and documentation tools.
Additional Information
This role is based onshore in Qatar, with travel between operational and project sites as required. Candidates must be eligible to work in Qatar under local employment regulations.
