Overview

An established commercial construction contractor is seeking an experienced Interiors Superintendent to oversee field operations on commercial interior projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys managing fast-paced interior fit-out and renovation projects while working within a collaborative and quality-focused environment.

The successful candidate will lead site operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site activities for commercial interior construction projects.

  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

  • Manage project schedules and ensure key milestones are achieved.

  • Promote and enforce site safety standards and compliance requirements.

  • Monitor construction quality and ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications.

  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to resolve site issues and maintain project progress.

  • Maintain daily reports, site records, and project documentation.

  • Conduct site inspections and monitor subcontractor performance.

  • Manage punch-list completion and project closeout activities.

  • Ensure effective communication between field teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

  • Support continuous improvement and best practices across project delivery activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial interior construction projects.

  • Experience delivering tenant improvements, commercial fit-outs, interior renovations, or occupied-space projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety practices, and subcontractor management.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple trades and project stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Experience maintaining project documentation and reporting.

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and project delivery excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.

  • Experience working on corporate, healthcare, office, retail, or commercial interior projects.

  • Familiarity with construction management software and digital reporting systems.
