Job Title: High Voltage Field Technician
Location: Remote (UK-Based with EU Travel)

We are currently recruiting three High Voltage (HV) Field Technicians for a specialist engineering services provider supporting HV and EHV cable systems. This role is ideal for technically capable individuals with strong field testing knowledge, who are open to travel across the UK and EU and enjoy a mix of hands-on site work and technical analysis/reporting from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform commissioning and maintenance testing on High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) AC and DC cable systems in compliance with international standards.

Conduct field testing and diagnostic evaluations of HV cable infrastructure.

Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative techniques for HV and EHV testing and analysis.

Analyse offline and online Partial Discharge (PD) data to detect faults and assess system condition.

Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical test reports, including actionable recommendations.

Support operation of diagnostic software and remote monitoring tools.

Work collaboratively with the engineering team to plan and execute site work effectively.
Additional Expectations:

Travel to client sites across the UK and Europe is required.

Some remote working is included, particularly for test analysis and report writing.

Support related project activities as reasonably requested by your supervisor or team lead.
Ideal Qualifications & Experience:

Electrical Engineering diploma or degree (or a closely related qualification).

Hands-on understanding of high voltage testing principles and practices.

Valid UK or EU driving licence.

Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK and Europe for site-based work.

Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.

EU passport holders will be given strong consideration due to travel requirements.
