Job Title: Global Marine Assurance Engineer

We are currently supporting a leading energy operator in the recruitment of a Global Marine Assurance Engineer to join their offshore marine operations team based in Paris. This role is vital in ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality vessel operations across global offshore logistics and marine activities.
You will be embedded within a dynamic offshore marine department, providing assurance oversight and expert advice on various support vessels, including drilling rigs, diving support vessels, floatels, and construction vessels.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct quality reviews of OVID (Offshore Vessel Inspection Database) inspection reports commissioned by the company in line with OCIMF quality standards.

Evaluate and recommend vetting decisions based on submitted OVID close-out proposals from vessel operators.

Provide expert-level marine technical advice for vessel selection and operational planning.

Contribute ad-hoc consultancy support to internal teams for ongoing marine operations globally.
Required Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in offshore marine operations.

At least 5 years of experience sailing as Master or Chief Engineer on complex offshore support vessels (e.g., diving support or construction vessels).

Previous or current OVID Inspector accreditation.

Fluent in English, with excellent technical writing and reporting skills.

Certificate of Competency as a Merchant Marine Master or Chief Engineer (unlimited tonnage/power).
