JOB DIMENSIONS
- Manage and handle project tenders and contracts, as well as other project-related activities.
- Act as an experienced and autonomous Contracts Engineer supporting project teams in sourcing EPC contracts, long-lead items, and recurrent operations and maintenance contracts.
- Demonstrate personal commitment to the company's HSE policies and objectives.
- Prepare, negotiate, and issue contracts in compliance with company rules, HSE standards, internal procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Manage all contract activities related to both pre-award (tendering) and post-award contract administration.
- Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking to ensure competitive sourcing strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams consisting of business end users, contract owners, finance, HSE, and legal functions throughout the end-to-end sourcing process.
- Ensure both technical and commercial optimization in contracting strategies through effective scope definition, cost management, and standardization of specifications.
- Collaborate with global and regional procurement teams to leverage best practices and economies of scale.
- Drive functional excellence in the Contracts & Procurement department by streamlining processes and aligning with corporate procurement standards.
- Facilitate effective Supplier Relationship Management and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive supplier performance and value delivery.
- Support internal stakeholders to ensure effective stock and inventory management within assigned categories.
- Oversee robust Contract Management practices to mitigate risks related to material and service delivery, achieving technical, HSE, and commercial performance targets.
- Prepare and present contract cases to internal review boards and management committees as required.
- Maintain proper administration, filing, and document control of all contracts within SAP or the designated contract management system.
- Ensure all approvals, justifications, and supporting documentation are archived according to company procedures.
- Deliver tenders and contracts on time to meet project and operational requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement and efficiency in contract delivery, utilizing standard templates, framework agreements, and industry best practices.
Background / Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the oil & gas, energy, EPC, or Drilling & Wells environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a Technical or Commercial discipline.
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation, and communication skills for managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional project teams, driving successful tender execution and contract management.
- Proficient in SAP and the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
