Job Description:
The Construction and Hook-up Division Manager will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of all aspects of construction, transport, installation, and hook-up requirements for the project. This role ensures that key project objectives, such as safety, quality, cost, and schedule, are achieved. Additionally, the manager will oversee the fabrication activities of platforms and structures, managing the entire process until sailaway, ensuring the project is completed on time and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Ensure successful delivery of the NFPS Compression Project scope in accordance with schedule and budget while collaborating closely with the Project Management Team.
- Safety Leadership: Act as the focal point for promoting and implementing safety on-site. Lead safety initiatives, reporting, and monitoring throughout the project. Demonstrate safety leadership and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies.
- Team Management: Lead and manage the fabrication team, ensuring that project targets are met and team performance aligns with project management objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with QatarEnergy LNG Standards of Business Conduct and Project Management Systems. Assess contractor capabilities and address any gaps with support from technical teams.
- Schedule & Milestone Management: Oversee execution schedules, manage critical milestones, and ensure any scope changes are negotiated. Develop contingency plans and provide data for monthly progress reporting.
- Brownfield Scope Management: Manage brownfield scope delivery, minimizing operational impacts and aligning with stakeholder expectations and project schedules.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Develop effective relationships with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project delivery and execution plans.
- Change Management: Own the Management of Change (MOC) process for all aspects of the project. Ensure that lessons learned are captured, shared, and implemented.
- Contract Administration: Support post-audit activities and contract administration, ensuring continuous improvements in the subcontracting process.
- Execution Plan Compliance: Ensure compliance with Hook-up & Brownfield Construction Execution Plans, specifications, and procedures. Promote communication and teamwork to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in large construction projects within the Oil & Gas Industry, including at least 3 years in a management role related to construction, engineering, or project management.
- Proven experience with EPC execution and managing construction, fabrication, installation, hook-up, and completion phases.
- Track record in managing large-scale projects with contractors, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
Technical and Business Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of design standards, codes, safety criteria, and fabrication processes related to construction, transport, installation, and hook-up in the oil and gas sector.
- Experience in offshore and onshore facility construction, as well as yard operations.
- Expertise in managing risks and execution methods for LNG and sour gas production facilities.
- A strong background in managing EPC contractors and subcontractors in large-scale projects.
- A proven record of excellent safety results in construction environments.
