MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The Service Provider will represent TotalEnergies (CPY) at the TFMC Umbilical manufacturing plant (TUL) in Newcastle upon Tyne, and at Contractor's Vendors for Umbilical Riser Spools (URS) ancillaries and Subsea Production System (SPS) equipment produced in the UK.
The Service Provider will ensure that the Contractor (CTR) delivers umbilicals, ancillaries, and SPS equipment on time, in compliance with TotalEnergies' HSE policies, and at the required quality level. Responsibilities include oversight of HSE, quality, planning, contractual, logistics, and technical elements of the contracted work.
The Service Provider will also supervise Contractor HSE activities to ensure the Project's HSE objectives, site safety, construction integrity, environmental protection, and Company reputation are maintained.
ACTIVITIES
Coordination
Liaise with:
- CPY Subsea HSE Lead
- CPY Delivery Lead
- CPY Materials & Welding Lead
- CPY Quality Lead
HSE and Compliance
- Comply with all site security, health, and safety procedures; maintain hazard awareness.
- Ensure HSE contractual requirements and documentation are properly implemented by the Contractor.
- Demonstrate exemplary behaviour in line with H3SE rules and Company ethics, including the Code of Conduct and Anti-Corruption Program.
- Report anomalies, use the STOP WORK policy when necessary.
- Ensure risk assessments, management of change (MOC), and toolbox talks (TBTs) are effectively carried out.
WORK TASKS
The Service Provider will:
Verify that Contractor and sub-contractor work complies with
CPY and Project Specifications
- for URS and SPS packages.
- Ensure progress aligns with delivery schedules.
- Review documentation and certificates; oversee NDE/NDT/DT testing, dimensional and cleanliness controls, and general test procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely notifications and mobilization of relevant personnel or third parties.
- Verify personnel certifications and adequacy of training.
- Confirm equipment and consumables are certified, fit for use, and in compliance with approved procedures.
- Check work readiness in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ensure adequate worksite control, barrier placement, and awareness of adjacent personnel.
- Witness control steps, record and sign off documentation as required.
- Log and report non-conformities; stop work and reassess as necessary.
- Engage with Contractor/sub-contractors to resolve issues while maintaining quality and delivery targets.
- Ensure closure of non-conformities without schedule impact.
- Review and approve Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs).
- Participate in audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Provide weekly progress reports covering status, look-ahead, HSE, and quality.
- Ensure timely completion of dispatch dossiers and final documentation packages.
Additional Responsibilities
- Monitor Welding Programs and qualifications.
- Oversee Testing Programs to ensure equipment readiness and compliance.
- Track testing and qualification impacts on the SPS schedule.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
- This role supports the execution phase of a major project in Suriname (Block 58), managed by TotalEnergies.
- The multidisciplinary Suriname GPI team oversees reservoir development, FPSO, and subsea production/injection systems.
- Project objectives include:
- Maximizing economic value through optimized reserves and schedules.
- Reducing costs and GHG emissions.
- Ensuring technical quality and high H3SE performance.

Start Date: 01 December 2025
Duration: 3 years (renewable, up to 2028)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, UK (with regular visits to UK subcontractors/vendors)
Status: Residential
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proven experience with Umbilical and Ancillary manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of testing regimes (factory acceptance, integration, stack-up, site receipt).
- Experience in manufacturing sequences and quality control systems.
- Degree or Master's in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- QC certifications are an asset.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 20 years total, including 15 years in project roles.
