Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join a large-scale offshore energy project based in Qatar. This rotational onshore role supports the coordination and logistics of materials for multiple engineering packages and ensures seamless dispatch between onshore bases and offshore operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong inspection, tracking, and logistics experience from the oil and gas sector, along with a proactive approach to safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Operations Support:
- Act as focal point for warehouse logistics coordination between project teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Oversee inspection and release of cargo units and equipment for offshore dispatch in line with lifting and logistics procedures.
- Coordinate delivery of contractor materials to the company's warehouse, ensuring adherence to project standards.
- Track temporary equipment, special tools, and CCU usage, including storage and preservation status.
- Support scheduling of supply vessel cargo and align with warehouse shipping plans.
- Liaise with freight forwarding teams on import/export matters.
- Manage handover of capital spares, operational materials, and well hook-up equipment to warehouse and other internal entities.
- Use ERP and logistics platforms (such as SAP and other systems) to monitor, track, and report inventory.
- Facilitate issuance of stock material for contractor contingency needs.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain material registers, monitor non-conformities, and oversee QA/QC documentation flow.
- Generate and submit weekly activity reports to the project logistics lead.
- Track temporary equipment mobilized offshore and coordinate return processes.
HSE & Compliance:
- Ensure all material handling and logistics activities are compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Promote safety awareness among contractors and maintain strict adherence to site HSE procedures.
- Participate in site safety programs and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for safety or process improvements in the logistics chain.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 7 years of supervisory experience in a modern warehouse/logistics environment, ideally using a Warehouse Management System.
- At least 5 years' experience in offshore oil and gas logistics, including drilling, production, or construction projects.
- Proficient in handling shipping documentation and customs clearance processes.
- Strong knowledge of material handling equipment, storage, and preservation standards.
- Advanced MS Office skills and trained in SAP; familiarity with other logistics tools (e.g., Kabal) is preferred.
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Adaptable, safety-conscious, and able to respond effectively to shifting operational priorities.
