Position Title: Warehouse & Workshop Manager
Location: Boden, Sweden
Contract Type: Annually Renewable Contract Position
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday


Role Purpose:

Lead and modernize warehouse and workshop operations at a pioneering green steel production facility in Northern Sweden. The Warehouse & Workshop Manager is responsible for digital transformation, strategic planning, inventory control, and operational efficiency—ensuring robust, compliant, and sustainable warehouse functions aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure a safe and compliant working environment across warehouse and workshop areas.

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives related to:

    • Spare parts management and repair operations

    • Inventory tracking and asset lifecycle management

    • Financial reporting and stock valuation

    • Digital warehouse systems and automated procurement integration

    • CMMS connectivity and logistical coordination

  • Oversee third-party contracts related to warehouse and workshop services.

  • Work closely with procurement, finance, and cross-functional teams to optimize processes.

  • Manage departmental budgets, aligning financial performance with strategic goals.

  • Build and lead a high-performing team; oversee staffing, development, and performance reviews.


Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Solid understanding of inventory management and financial tracking principles.


Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in warehousing, procurement, or maintenance roles within the heavy industry sector.

  • Proven leadership within large-scale organizations (250+ personnel).

  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).


Competencies:

  • Strong safety leadership and compliance orientation.

  • Expert-level knowledge of warehouse operations and procurement contract management.

  • Skilled in CMMS, Microsoft Office suite, and warehouse digitalization tools.

  • Effective communicator in English; proficiency in Swedish is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
