Job Overview
We are working with a growing engineering organisation seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer to support high-voltage transmission line projects. This is a remote opportunity with a preference for candidates located near Denver.

The role involves leading technical design activities, preparing engineering deliverables, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality transmission solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate with project teams to understand scope, prepare deliverables, and provide technical updates.

  • Develop cost-effective transmission line designs in line with industry, client, and company standards.

  • Produce design criteria, technical reports, verification documents, and clearance tables using PLS-CADD.

  • Build and modify pole and tower models using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.

  • Prepare construction assembly drawings, structure loading packages, and material specifications for vendor submittals.

  • Develop construction specification packages including drawings, single-line diagrams, phasing plans, and installation requirements.

  • Participate in and lead internal and external project meetings.

  • Travel occasionally for short site visits or project support as required.

  • Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines within normal working hours.

  • Follow company policies, safety requirements, and project procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States (required).

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in transmission line design for voltages between 69kV and 500kV.

  • Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.

  • Working knowledge of MFAD, LPILE, and applicable design standards including NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and RUS.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to travel occasionally as required by project needs.
