Technical Writer

Location: Warsaw (on-site, with partial remote flexibility)

Contract Type: B2B agreement

Hourly Rate: Max. EUR28/h

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join an international project team in Warsaw. This role will involve creating, managing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation while ensuring consistency, usability, and compliance with established standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical documents such as user guides, manuals, training materials, process documentation, workflows, contextual help, and reports.
  • Define policies, templates, and style guidelines to ensure uniformity across all deliverables.
  • Provide quality assurance for all project documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with staff on document design, graphics, and layout.
  • Translate strategy and analytical reports into clear, executive-level briefings.
  • Recommend and implement improvements, including automation, for documentation processes.
  • Manage the documentation repository, including version control and release management.
  • Support QA for software interactions and user-facing system messages.
  • Maintain project-specific terminology and ensure alignment across stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience, with at least 3 years in technical writing/documentation roles.
  • Proven background in producing ICT-related documentation (requirements, project reports, user guides, system guides, and online help).
  • Strong knowledge of ICT terminology and concepts.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and related tools.
  • Ability to determine documentation needs by working closely with engineers, developers, and project teams.
  • Skilled in graphical design, authoring, and office automation tools.
  • Experience in document management policies and tools (e.g. Wikis, MOSS, similar platforms).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and training sessions.
  • Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility across different technologies and platforms.

Certification:

  • Advanced English (C1 certificate required).
