Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Lead within Cloud & Infrastructure to play a key role in advancing a cloud-first strategy for a leading industrial client. This position balances technical leadership with hands-on delivery, driving the design, execution, and optimization of innovative cloud-based (Azure) and on-premises infrastructure solutions. Your expertise from a developer and engineering perspective will enable the team to scale, automate, and maximize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

- Serve as the principal technical authority within the Hybrid Cloud team, blending strategic execution and technical guidance to ensure operational excellence for both cloud and traditional infrastructure.

- Collaborate with the Cloud & Infrastructure Product Owner to synchronize technical priorities with the product roadmap and organizational objectives.

- Advise on hybrid infrastructure architecture and solution design to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and highly reliable.

- Participate actively in technology leadership forums within the organization.

Cloud & On-Premises Management:

- Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based solutions using tools such as AKS and Kubernetes, leveraging cloud automation frameworks.

- Oversee seamless integration of on-premises infrastructure with cloud environments for robust hybrid operations.

- Establish monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery strategies spanning cloud and on-prem systems.

Automation and Infrastructure as Code:

- Champion automation pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Bicep and Terraform.

- Enhance deployment processes through robust DevOps workflows.

Cost and Vendor Management:

- Develop and execute cloud cost optimization strategies and manage relationships with vendors to ensure performance and value.

- Track and report on infrastructure costs, recommending improvements as needed.

Team Mentoring and Development:

- Mentor engineers within and outside the team, promoting best practices in hybrid infrastructure management and DevOps.

- Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

- Deep involvement with developer productivity tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure technologies, with a strong focus on Azure ecosystems, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud models.

- Proven track record managing IaC with tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and DevOps automation.

- Thorough understanding of containerization, orchestration, and deployment pipelines.

- Skilled in on-premises integration with cloud environments, addressing performance and scalability challenges.

- Solid experience implementing CI/CD and driving automation across complex infrastructures.

- Fluency in DevOps best practices and ITSM frameworks, with recent hands-on support for developer teams.

Essential Skills:

- Deep knowledge of Azure-native technologies, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud operations.

- Advanced proficiency in DevOps tools and IaC frameworks.

- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills in both cloud and on-premises environments.
