Overview
An established construction contractor specialising in building restoration is seeking a Site Superintendent to support the delivery of exterior works across New York City. This is a hands-on role suited to someone experienced in managing live sites, including occupied and high-profile properties.
The Role
As Site Superintendent, you will oversee daily site operations and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise site crews and subcontractors on active projects
- Manage day-to-day site activities, logistics, and coordination
- Oversee works on occupied buildings, ensuring minimal disruption
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Work closely with Project Managers and client representatives
- Monitor progress and maintain project schedules
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or Site Supervisor within the construction industry
- Strong background in one or more of the following: facade, exterior restoration, concrete, masonry, roofing, or waterproofing
- Experience working on New York City projects; familiarity with FISP or Local Law 11 is preferred
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple crews and operate effectively in fast-paced environments
