Job Summary:
We are seeking a Subsea Inspection Specialist to lead and coordinate underwater inspection activities for offshore assets. The role focuses on inspection planning, emergency response readiness, and ensuring all subsea operations comply with safety and technical standards. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and service providers to manage inspections, gather data, and support incident response activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement underwater inspection procedures, contracts, tools, and communication protocols.

  • Lead planning, execution, and quality assurance of subsea inspection activities during both routine and emergency operations.

  • Act as the focal point for coordination among internal teams, contractors, and third-party inspection service providers.

  • Review, standardise, and maintain procedures, protocols, forms, and documentation for underwater inspections.

  • Oversee inspection contracts from tendering to execution, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

  • Support incident response by providing operational input, technical guidance, and oversight during subsea events.

  • Collect, compile, and maintain data from inspections, surveys, and third-party reports to inform operational decisions.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely reporting of issues and actions.

  • Participate in offshore and onshore inspections, including ROV operations, diving systems, and marine survey activities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for subsea inspection practices, incorporating industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Subsea, Pipelines, Industrial, or Naval).

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in offshore inspection, integrity management, construction, installation, or repair management.

  • Familiarity with marine and subsea operations, including offshore pipelines, vessels, ROVs, barges, and diving systems.

  • Understanding of offshore pipeline design codes, construction methods, and repair techniques.

  • Proven experience in planning and executing subsea inspections with attention to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Technical and Business Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.

  • Proficient with data analysis, reporting, and standard office software.

  • Effective problem-solving, coordination, and adaptability skills in a multinational environment.

  • Strong understanding of process safety concepts and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to teams during inspections and incident response.
