Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Subsea Construction Specialist to oversee and coordinate subsea pipeline and cable repair activities. The role involves planning, executing, and managing offshore construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will liaise with internal teams, contractors, and third-party service providers to deliver high-quality subsea construction outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage emergency response agreements and procedures for subsea repair and maintenance projects.

Plan, execute, and monitor subsea pipeline and cable repair works offshore and onshore.

Lead preparation and evaluation of technical bids, scopes of work, lifting/shifting plans, and contractor deliverables.

Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, protocols, and quality management systems for subsea construction and repair.

Coordinate activities across internal teams, contractors, and third-party service providers to ensure timely and safe execution.

Oversee contract management and compliance with project requirements, including health, safety, environment, and quality standards.

Participate in offshore operations, including vessel and barge mobilisation, subsea equipment handling, and marine construction activities.

Conduct inspections, review technical calculations, and ensure adherence to standards and specifications.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide operational recommendations to optimise repair response and execution.

Maintain records, report progress, and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Naval, Civil, Industrial, or Chemical).
Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore oil & gas subsea construction, pipeline, or cable repair projects.

Hands-on experience with marine units, vessels, construction barges, and subsea repair equipment.

Knowledge of subsea pipeline and cable installation, repair, and maintenance methods.

Experience supervising offshore execution programmes and coordinating contractors.

Familiarity with offshore regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
Technical and Business Skills:

Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and standard office software.

Strong technical understanding of subsea construction and pipelines.

Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a multinational environment.
