Job Description:
Our client, a global engineering consultancy specializing in offshore projects, is seeking a Structural Engineer with strong ANSYS experience to join their technical team. The role involves detailed structural analysis, design, and modeling of complex marine structures for offshore installations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed structural analyses for FPSO hulls, turret and mooring systems using ANSYS and rule-based calculations.

Create 3D finite element models (FEM) for marine structures and evaluate dynamic environmental loads including wind, wave, and current forces.

Ensure structural designs comply with offshore engineering codes and standards (DNV, ABS, ISO, API, AISC, Eurocode).

Prepare calculations, technical reports, and documentation for internal review and client certification.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including naval architects, mechanical engineers, and installation leads.

Attend project and client meetings to provide technical input and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Support the integration of structural designs with other engineering disciplines.

Maintain high-quality technical documentation and ensure deliverables meet project standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

5–10 years of experience in offshore Oil & Gas structural engineering projects.

Proficiency in ANSYS and structural analysis software.

Strong understanding of offshore engineering principles, hydrodynamic and environmental loads.

Experience with structural design codes: DNV, ABS, API, AISC, Eurocode.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.

Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work in complex, multicultural offshore project environments.

Computer literate with proficiency in relevant engineering software.
Desirable:

Experience in FPSO, turret, and mooring system design.

Familiarity with offshore construction and installation processes.
