Civil Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Civil Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting power delivery and renewable energy projects. The role involves a diverse range of structural design work, including foundations, structural steel, and support structures for energy facilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically skilled, and thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities

Develop plans and specifications for structures and foundations used in substations, transmission lines, and renewable energy installations.

Prepare design criteria, calculations, and engineering documentation.

Review and approve design work prepared by other team members.

Serve as the lead structural engineer on project teams and as the engineer of record when required.

Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.

Participate in client meetings and occasional site visits.

Support proposal preparation and cost estimating activities.

Mentor and guide junior engineers, helping develop internal standards and best practices.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.

Seven or more years of experience in structural engineering design.

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain registration in other states as needed.

Strong understanding of structural analysis and design for steel and foundation systems.

Proficient in common design and analysis tools and standard office applications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be based in or willing to relocate to the New England region.
