Position: Structural Design Engineer – FPSO / Offshore Renewables / Oil & Gas

Key Responsibilities

Execute concept and FEED designs for fixed and floating offshore structures.

Provide ongoing support to in-service assets and resolve emerging structural issues.

Perform structural analysis using specialist offshore software (Sesam, SACS, Orcaflex) or general-purpose FEA tools (Ansys, Abaqus).

Undertake nonlinear analysis, dynamic/modal assessment, fatigue assessment, and structural appraisal.

Conduct fracture mechanics studies, blast design, and structural assessments as required.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, robust, and efficient designs.
Experience / Skills Required

Strong background in structural steelwork design for offshore applications.

Experience with offshore substation jackets, topsides, or FPSO structures.

Proficient in nonlinear analysis, dynamic/modals, and fatigue evaluation.

Knowledge of fracture mechanics, blast design, and structural appraisal techniques.

Hands-on experience with offshore FEA and analysis software.
