Job Title: Strategic Planner

Overview
We are seeking a Strategic Planner to support project execution within the energy infrastructure sector. This role focuses on developing and managing project schedules for high-voltage grid projects in the southern Netherlands. The position requires a hands-on planner who understands project structures, not just scheduling tools, and who can advise and guide teams on effective planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor project schedules, gathering information from all relevant disciplines
- Facilitate interactive planning workshops with stakeholders
- Work with risk managers to identify risks, opportunities, and bottlenecks, and advise on solutions
- Prepare and maintain overall project planning using Primavera
- Analyse project interfaces and interdependencies to ensure portfolio integrity
- Translate project schedules into clear management information, including progress and impact analysis
- Review detailed schedules provided by internal and external parties and advise on adjustments
- Report on project status and deviations from critical activity timelines
Requirements
- MBO/HBO level education with 5-10 years of relevant work experience
- Proven experience managing project and portfolio schedules, ideally in infrastructure or energy-related environments
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative and act proactively rather than waiting for direction
- Confident in providing advice, even in challenging situations
- Excellent communication skills; fluent Dutch and good English required
- Experience with infrastructure projects essential; high-voltage or energy sector experience is a plus
Other Information
- Candidates must have the right to work in the Netherlands; visa sponsorship is not available
- A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and pre-employment screening will be required before starting
- Presence in ly 4 days per week (set-up phase), later 1-2 days per week, with hybrid working possible
