Position Title: Static Equipment Lead

Role Overview:
The Static Equipment Lead will oversee all mechanical/static equipment activities for the NFXP Offshore Project. This role ensures that engineering deliverables fully comply with technical requirements, project specifications, and relevant codes/standards. The successful candidate will provide ongoing support to the Offshore Engineering Manager to guarantee quality, safety, and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure contractor's design and engineering work for static equipment complies with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Provide guidance to EPC contractors to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Plan and manage deliverables for static equipment to support efficient execution.
- Participate in key design and review workshops such as HAZOPs and 3D model reviews.
- Monitor contractor performance and document delivery across static equipment disciplines.
- Coordinate with SMEs for technical reviews and approval of deviations where required.
- Manage changes to design in line with project management and change control procedures.
- Oversee preservation and protection processes at site; ensure safety observation systems are implemented.
- Ensure effective interface and coordination with QA, commissioning, operations, and engineering teams.
- Support the development of Qatari talent as per company Qatarization policy.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications in static equipment engineering or preservation are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in static equipment design and engineering within major offshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong background in EPC environments with understanding of brownfield engineering and preservation systems.
- Broad knowledge of relevant international design codes, specifications, and safety standards.
- Experience working in cross-discipline and multicultural project teams.
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and telecom interfaces.
- Proficiency with MS Office and common engineering software.
- Familiar with preservation planning and system completion workflows.
- Knowledge of commissioning documentation and review processes.
